Function Description:
The BX2 Tap Timer enables users to automate their garden watering schedules through the iGardener® smartphone app, available on both App Store and Google Play. It supports various watering schedules including 7-day, interval, odd (calendar) days, even (calendar) days, and cycle watering. Each program can have up to three start times. For manual operation, users can select a specific zone and run time directly on the device using the main dial and tap timer button. The device is designed for sequential watering, meaning if both zones are scheduled to run at the same time, the BX2 will automatically run each zone one-by-one to prevent pressure loss across the irrigation system. It also features permanent memory, so schedules are retained even if batteries are removed.

Usage Features:
- iGardener® App Control: Download the iGardener® app to your mobile device to set up and manage watering schedules.
- Device Pairing: Install batteries, ensure Bluetooth® is active on your smartphone, then open the iGardener® app and select "BX WATERING" to connect. For security, the BX2 can only connect to one smartphone at a time.
- Renaming Device: If multiple iGardener® devices are added, the BX2 can be renamed within the app for easier identification.
- Zone Management: The app allows for individual management of each zone, including setting run times and day selections.
- Manual Operation: Turn the main dial to select a zone and desired run time, then press the tap timer button to start or stop watering.
- Sequential Watering: The BX2 automatically runs zones one-by-one if multiple zones are scheduled for the same time, ensuring efficient water distribution without pressure loss.
- Scheduling Options:
- 7 Days Watering: Set specific days of the week for watering.
- Interval Days Watering: Water every X days (e.g., every 2 days).
- Odd/Even (calendar) Days Watering: Water on odd or even calendar days.
- Cycle Watering: Short burst intervals for misting systems or greenhouses, with adjustable run and delay times (must be set to at least 5 seconds). This feature requires frequent battery checks.
- Saving Schedules: After setting up schedules in the app, tap "DONE" to save them to the BX2. A "DONE" symbol will appear when the new schedule has been synced.
- Unpairing: The BX2 can be unpaired from iGardener® via the app (by deleting the device) or by removing the batteries. If a schedule is set, it will continue to run until it is unpaired with a new smartphone.
Maintenance Features:
- Cold Weather: The BX2 should be removed from the tap and stored away during winter to prevent freezing damage.
- Batteries: Use 4x 1.5V AA alkaline batteries only. Do not mix old and new batteries. A battery leakage can cause corrosion and damage to the device.
- Turning Off Schedules: Turn the main dial to "OFF" to disable all watering schedules.
- Connection Issues: If the BX2 shows as disconnected after replacing batteries, wait a few minutes for iGardener® to update the device status. Ensure your smartphone is within 20m Bluetooth® range and no other smartphone is currently paired with your BX2.
