Overview

This document provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and effective use, assembly, and maintenance of a mobile air conditioner. It covers safety precautions, identification of parts, control panel operation, remote controller usage, protection features, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance procedures.

Function Description

This mobile air conditioner is designed for indoor domestic use to provide cooling, dehumidification, and fan-only operation. It utilizes a refrigerant system to cool the air and can also remove excess moisture from the room. The unit is portable, allowing for flexible placement within a room, provided proper ventilation and space requirements are met.

Usage Features

The air conditioner offers multiple operating modes:

  • Automatic Mode: The unit automatically detects the room temperature and selects the appropriate mode (cooling or fan) to maintain a comfortable environment. If the room temperature is 24°C or higher, it will select cooling mode; if below 24°C, it will select fan mode.
  • Cool Mode: In this mode, the compressor runs when the room temperature is higher than the set temperature, providing active cooling. When the room temperature drops below the set temperature, the compressor stops, and the fan continues to operate at its original speed.
  • Dehumidify Mode: The unit operates with the centrifugal fan at a low, unadjustable speed to remove moisture from the air. The temperature is maintained at a constant level in this mode and cannot be adjusted. For prolonged dehumidification, a drain hose can be connected to the unit.
  • Fan Mode: In this mode, only the fan operates at a set speed, circulating air without cooling. Temperature adjustment is not effective in fan mode.

The control panel and remote controller allow for easy operation:

  • Power On/Off: The unit can be turned on or off by pressing the power button. A single beep confirms the action.
  • Temperature Adjustment: In cool mode, the temperature can be set between 15-31°C using the temperature up (+) or down (-) buttons. Each press adjusts the temperature by 1°C. The LED display shows the target temperature for five seconds before reverting to the room temperature.
  • Fan Speed Adjustment: Users can select a desired fan speed using the fan speed button.
  • Timer Function: A timer can be set for automatic turn-on or turn-off, ranging from 1 to 24 hours. The timer icon illuminates when active.
  • Automatic Swing: When activated, the air outlet blade moves up and down automatically to distribute air evenly. Pressing the button again stops the swing.
  • Sleep Mode: This mode is effective when the unit is in cool mode. It automatically sets the centrifugal fan to a low speed. The set temperature increases by 1°C after one hour, then by 2°C after two hours, and the unit stops running after six hours.
  • Child Lock: This function can be activated by pressing and holding a specific button for a few seconds, displaying 'LC' on the screen. Holding the button again deactivates it.
  • Memory Function: Except for "AUTO" mode, the appliance retains the last used mode when turned on again.
  • Celsius/Fahrenheit Shift: The temperature display can be switched between Celsius and Fahrenheit by simultaneously holding the temperature up (+) and down (-) buttons when the appliance is on.

The unit is designed with protective features:

  • Overheating Protection: The protective device may trip and stop the appliance if the indoor air temperature exceeds 43°C (in cooling mode) or if the room temperature falls below 15°C (in cooling or dehumidifying mode).
  • Restart Delay: After stopping or changing modes, the unit requires a three-minute wait before restarting to protect the compressor.
  • Water Full Indicator (E4): The unit has an internal water collection system. When the water level reaches the upper limit, the float switch activates, and the E4 indicator lights up, prompting the user to drain the water.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the appliance's performance and longevity:

  • Appliance Cleaning:
    • Always turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning.
    • Wipe the housing with a soft, dry cloth. For heavy dirt, use lukewarm water (below 40°C/104°F) and a soft cloth.
    • Never use volatile substances like gasoline or polishing powder, and avoid sprinkling water directly onto the main unit to prevent electric shock.
  • Air Filter Cleaning:
    • The air filter should be cleaned approximately every 100 hours of use, or every two weeks in dusty environments.
    • Stop the appliance and remove the air filter.
    • If the filter is visibly dirty, wash it with detergent in lukewarm water.
    • After cleaning, dry the filter in a shaded, cool place before reinstalling it.
  • Long-Term Storage:
    • Before storing for extended periods, drain any accumulated water by removing the primary and secondary rubber plugs from the drain port.
    • Run the appliance in fan mode for half a day to ensure the inside is dry and prevent mold growth.
    • Turn off and unplug the appliance, then remove the batteries from the remote control.
    • Clean and reinstall the air filter.
    • Remove and properly store the air hoses, ensuring the holes are tightly covered.

The manual also provides detailed troubleshooting steps for common issues, such as the unit not running, running for short periods, not cooling effectively, or leaking water, guiding users to identify and resolve problems before seeking professional service.
