Test Run
TEST RUN INSTRUCTIONS
You should perform the Test Run for at least

1. Plug in the unit.
2. Press the ON/OFF button on the remote
control to turn on the unit.
3. Press the MODE button to scroll through the

COOL - Select lowest possible temperature
HEAT - Select highest possible temperature
4. Let each function run for 5 minutes. Perform


No electrical leakage
Unit is properly grounded
All electrical terminals are
properly covered
Indoor and outdoor units
are solidly installed
All pipe connection points
do not leak

Water drains properly from
the drain hose
All piping is properly
insulated
Unit performs COOL
function properly
Unit performs HEAT
function properly
Indoor unit louvers rotate
properly
Indoor unit responds to
remote control
Double-check Pipe Connections
During operation, the pressure of the refrigerant
circuit will increase. This may reveal leaks that were
not present during your initial leak check. During
the Test Run, double-check if all refrigerant pipe
connection points do not have leaks. Refer to the
Gas Leak Check section for instructions.
1. After the Test Run is successfully completed

of Checks to Perform PASSED, perform the

a. Use the remote control to set the unit to
normal operating temperature.
b. Use insulation tape to wrap the indoor
refrigerant pipe connections that you left
uncovered during the indoor unit installation.
IF AMBIENT TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 62°F
The COOL function cannot be activated by using
the remote control when the ambient temperature
is below 62°F. Use the MANUAL CONTROL button
to test the COOL function instead.
1. Open the front panel of the indoor unit and lift
it until it clicks in place.
2. The MANUAL CONTROL button is on the lower
right corner of the unit. Press it twice to select
the COOL function.
3. Perform the Test Run as normal.
