What to do if my Homewerks 7141-110 Fan is not clearing the room?
    • M

If your Homewerks Fan isn't clearing the room, it might be due to insufficient intake airflow. Ensure a door or window is slightly open to allow airflow, as the fan needs sufficient airflow to draw from. Another cause might be insufficient CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute). Make sure the CFM rating on the fan matches the requirements for your room size. Note that using a tissue is not an accurate method for determining if the fan is operating properly; if the fan clears steam from the room within approximately 15 minutes of completing your shower, then the fan is operating properly.

Why is my Homewerks Fan so loud?
    • T
      Tracy MosleyAug 10, 2025
There are several reasons why your Homewerks Fan might be louder than expected. First, ensure the CFM rating on the fan matches the size of your room. Also, check the damper to ensure it is opening and closing properly; if damaged, please call Customer Service. Make sure there aren't any sharp bends in the duct closer than 18 inches to the fan discharge. Using the recommended duct size can also reduce fan noise. Finally, ensure the fan body is securely attached to your ceiling joists.
