INSPECTION
TIP CLEARANCE
• Measure at several points and use the largest
reading to compare the service limit.
Temporarily install the outer rotor and inner rotor to
pump body and oil pump shaft into the oil pump
inner rotor.
Measure the clearance between the outer rotor and
the inner rotor with a feeler gauge.
BODY CLEARANCE
Measure the clearance between the oil pump body
and the outer rotor with a feeler gauge.
SIDE CLEARANCE
Measure the side clearance using a straight edge
and a feeler gauge.
INSTALLATION
Install the oil pump to the crankcase by aligning the
dowel pins and holes.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.20 mm (0.008 in)
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.35 mm (0.014 in)
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.12 mm (0.005 in)
