INSTALLATION
Apply 0.1 – 0.3 g of grease (SHIN-NIHON POWER-
NOC WB3 or equivalent) to the ends of the starter
pinion.
Install the starter pinion into the left crankcase.
Install the starter pinion holder.
Install the left crankcase cover (page 11-5).
DRIVE PULLEY
REMOVAL
Remove the starter pinion (page 11-7).
Remove the air cleaner housing bolts.
Set the special tool
lifting the air
cleaner housing.
Hold the drive pulley face with special tool and
loosen the drive pulley face nut.
Remove the following:
– Nut
– Drive face flange
– Drive face fin
– Drive pulley face
