11. Troubleshoting
Malfunction Cause Elimination
Banging noises Pressure reducing valve is over-
dimensioned
Call technical customer support
Water comes out at spring bonnet Diaphragm of valve insert is defective Replace valve insert
No water pressure or not enough Shut-off valve upstream or downstream of
the pressure reducing valve is not fully
opened
Open shut-off valves completely
The pressure reducing valve is not set to
the desired outlet pressure
Set the outlet pressure
Pressure reducing valve filter insert soiled Replace filter insert
Pressure reducing valve not installed in
direction of flow
Install the pressure reducing valve in the
direction of flow (observe the arrow direction
on housing)
The set outlet pressure does not
remain constant
Pressure reducing valve filter insert soiled
or worn
Replace filter insert
The nozzle or sealing disc of the valve
insert is soiled or damaged
Replace valve insert
Pressure increase on outlet pressure side
(e.g. due to water heating device)
Check the functionality of the check valve,
safety group etc.
