Why won't my Honeywell Portable Generator start or runs rough?

  If your Honeywell Portable Generator engine won't start or runs rough, several factors could be the cause. It might be due to: * No fuel: Add fuel. * Stale fuel: Drain the fuel tank and refill with fresh fuel. * Low engine oil: Add engine oil. * Disconnected spark plug cap: Install the spark plug cap over the spark plug. * Faulty spark plug: Check or replace the spark plug. * Fuel not reaching the carburetor: Clean the fuel sediment cup. * Dirty air filter: Clean or replace the air filter. * Dirty spark arrestor screen: Clean the spark arrestor screen.

  If there is no power at the AC receptacle of your Honeywell Portable Generator, it could be due to several reasons: * An electrical overload: Check all circuit breakers. If the master circuit breaker is tripped, reduce the load on the Twist-Lock receptacle and reset the breaker. If a duplex circuit breaker is tripped, reduce the load on the duplex receptacles above the breaker, wait for it to cool, and then reset it. * A poor connection or defective cord: Check the cord connection and replace the cord if it is defective. * A defective appliance: Check the connected appliance for defects and disconnect it from the generator. Have the appliance serviced by a qualified repair facility.
