Stale fuel could also be the culprit, in which case you should drain the fuel tank and fill it with fresh fuel. Check the engine oil level and add oil if it's low. Ensure the spark plug cap is correctly installed over the spark plug. A faulty spark plug can also cause this issue, so inspect and replace it if needed. If fuel isn't reaching the carburetor, clean the fuel sediment cup. Lastly, a dirty air filter or spark arrestor screen can cause these problems, so clean or replace them as necessary.
