3.3 SELF-TEST DIAGNOSTICS
SYMPTOM ACTION REQUIRED
Altimeter does not indicate 50
± 5 feet.
The Radar Altimeter System is in-
operative. Repair is required.
Flag does not come into view,
but indicated altitude is cor-
rect.
Indicator Failure. Radar Altime-
ter System failures may not be
indicated by a flag. Repair is
required.
DH Lamp fails to light. Indicator Failure. The decision
height will not
be annunciated.
Repair is required.
The altimeter indicates 100
feet.
The system’s receiver/transmit-
ter is inoperative. Repair is re-
quired.
The altimeter indicates 200
feet.
Configuration module failure. Re-
pair is required. (This is ap-
plicable in systems that have
configuration modules).
