The automatic shut-off may have engaged because the recovery tank is full, so empty it. Also, make sure the filter and filter lid are properly positioned, the tanks are locked in place, and the nozzle is correctly replaced and locked. Check the filter and clean it if it's dirty. Finally, ensure the hose door is closed tightly when you're not using the hose.

  If your Hoover Floor Machine isn’t picking up dirty solution or is pushing a line of dry debris, try these steps: * Ensure the Mode selector dial is set for WET PICKUP. * Make sure the recovery tank is installed properly and empty it if it's full. * Confirm that the filter and filter lid are correctly positioned. * Check the Model selector dial to ensure it is set for DRY VAC. If the debris is too large for the squeegee, tip the nozzle off the floor by pushing down on the handle to pick it up.

Why won't the brushes rotate on my Hoover Floor Machine?

If that doesn't work, turn the cleaner OFF, unplug it, wait one minute, plug it back in, and turn it ON again. If the brushes continue to stall and the breaker trips, clean the brushes to remove any debris.
