Overview

The Hover-1 Horizon is an electric scooter designed for personal transportation, featuring a two-wheel balancing system and app-enabled functionality. It is designed to be easily controlled and provides a stable form of travel.

Function Description:

The Hover-1 Horizon utilizes digital electronic gyroscopes and acceleration sensors to control balance and motion, responding to the user's center of gravity. A control system drives motors located within the wheels. It incorporates a built-in inertia dynamic stabilization system to assist with balance when moving forward and backward. To turn, users shift their weight to overcome centrifugal force, especially at higher speeds. The device is app-enabled, working with Apple iOS and Android devices, allowing users to access features like headlight colors and skill mode. It also includes a powerful built-in wireless Bluetooth speaker for playing music while riding. One speaker plays music, while the other is reserved for safety alerts.

  • Riding:
    • Stand directly behind the device, place one foot on a foot mat, shift weight to that foot, then quickly and evenly step on with the other foot.
    • Maintain balance by distributing weight correctly and keeping the center of gravity level.
    • To move, accelerate, or decelerate, tilt your center of gravity in the desired direction.
    • To turn, focus on the direction you wish to turn and stay relaxed.
    • Bend knees on bumpy or uneven surfaces to absorb shock and maintain balance.
    • Dismount by lifting one leg and setting the foot back down on the ground (stepping back), then stepping off completely.
  • Bluetooth Speaker:
    • Turn on the Horizon; speakers will "Ping" to indicate pairing mode.
    • Place the Horizon and Bluetooth device within 3 feet.
    • Enable Bluetooth on your device and select "HY-H2L."
    • Enter PIN "000000" if required.
    • The Horizon will say "Paired" upon successful connection.
    • Pairing mode lasts two minutes; if no device is paired, it returns to standby.
    • The speaker remembers previously paired devices and reconnects automatically when in range and Bluetooth is active.
    • Supports pairing with up to two multi-point devices.
    • Volume and track controls are managed via the music device.
  • Smart Phone App: Download the free Hover-1 App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) to access features like headlight colors and skill mode. QR codes are provided for easy download.

Safety Precautions and Alerts:

  • Always wear a properly fitted helmet that complies with CPSC or CE safety standards.
  • Obey all local traffic laws, including lights, signs, and crosswalks.
  • Ride with traffic, defensively, and give pedestrians the right-of-way.
  • Do not ride in low-visibility conditions (fog, dusk, night) without bright, reflective clothing. The Horizon is not equipped with reflectors.
  • Do not ride above your skill level or on unsafe surfaces (uneven, too steep, icy, slippery).
  • Ensure the device is placed flat on level ground, powered on, and the Running Indicator light is green before stepping on.
  • Do not open or modify the device; this voids the warranty and can cause injury or death.
  • Avoid operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol or when restless/sleepy.
  • Do not use in skate parks, empty pools, or similar areas; it is not a skateboard.
  • Avoid continuous spinning in place, as it can cause dizziness and injury.
  • Do not abuse the device, drop it, or operate in puddles, mud, sand, stones, gravel, debris, or rough terrain.
  • Use on flat, even paved surfaces. Lift over uneven pavement.
  • Do not ride in inclement weather (snow, rain, hail, ice) or extreme heat/cold.
  • Do not ride over bumps or objects greater than 1½ inches.
  • Pay attention to road conditions, people, property, and objects around you.
  • Avoid crowded areas, operating indoors with extreme caution.
  • Do not operate while talking, texting, or looking at your phone.

  • Intended for single-person use; do not carry anything or operate with two or more people.
  • Not recommended for individuals with lack of balance or pregnant women.
  • Recommended for riders ages 15 and older.
  • Consider longer stopping distances at higher speeds.
  • Do not step forward off, jump on/off, or attempt stunts/tricks.
  • Do not ride in dark or poorly lit areas, off-road, or over potholes, cracks, or uneven surfaces.
  • Be aware of increased height (4.3 inches / 11.43 cm) when operating through doorways.
  • Do not turn sharply at high speeds.
  • Do not step on the fenders.
  • Avoid areas with flammable gas, steam, liquid, dust, or fiber.
  • Ensure tires are in good condition with sufficient tread.
  • Do not operate near swimming pools or other bodies of water.
  • Adult supervision is required to reduce injury risk.
  • Safety Alerts: The Running Indicator Light turns RED, and a beep sounds if there's a system error or illegal operation (e.g., platform tilted >17 degrees, low battery, charging, excess speed, overheating, rocking for >30 seconds, system protection mode, blocked tires, depleted battery). If the system initiates a stop, turn the Horizon off and back on to unlock it from a Safety Lock.
