Getting Ready to Operate

16500A/16501A for operation. It explains how to inspect the HP

included with the instrument This chapter also describes the
recommended operating environment, including ventilation and power
requirements. Finally, you learn how to prepare the HP
16500A/16501A for operation by removing the shipping disks, selecting
the proper line voltage, checking the fuse, and providing power.

Inspection
Inspect the shipping container for damage. If the shipping container or
packaging material is damaged, you should keep them until the
contents of the shipment have been checked. This should include a
complete mechanical and electrical check of the instrument and a
complete inventory of the items that were shipped with the instrument.
