2-27. REPACKAGING FOR SHIPMENT
NOTE
If the instrument is to be shipped to Hewlett-
Packard for service or repair, attach a tag to the
instrument identifying the owner and indicating
the required service or repair. Include the model
number and full serial number of the instrument.
In any correspondence, identify the instrument
by model number and full serial number. If you
have any questions, contact your nearest -hp-
Sales/Service office.
2-28. Place the instrument in its original container wit
appropriate packaging material and secure with strong
tape or metal bands. If the original container is not
available, a replacement can be obtained from you
nearest -hp- Sales/Service office. Hewlett-Packard
suggests that you always insure shipments.

2-29. If the original container is not to be used, do the
following:
a. Wrap the instrument in heavy plastic, before
placing in an inner container.
b. Place packing material around all sides of the
instrument and protect the front panel with cardboard
strips.
c. Place the instrument in the inner container in a
heavy carton. Seal the carton with strong tape or metal
bands.
d. Mark shipping container "DELICATE INSTRU-
MENT", "FRAGILE", etc.
