Creating and editing programs
Create a new
program
1. Press >6+,)7@PROGRM to open the Program catalog.
2. Press
1(:a .
The HP 39G/40G
prompts you for a name.
A program name can contain special characters, such as a
space. However, if you use special characters and then
run the program by typing it in HOME, you must enclose
the program name in double quotes (" "). Don’t use the "
symbol within your program name.
3. Type your program
name, then press
2.a .
When you press
2.a , the
Program Editor opens.
4. Enter your program.
When done, start any other activity. Your work is saved
automatically.
