Shut down your controller's application
program
and
operating
system.

Turn
OFF
your controller
and
unplug all cords
and
cables from
it
and
any
attached
expanders. \

the
controller's
internal
assemblies.
Removing the Hard Disk Drive
Before you can change a
hard
disk drive's configuration, you need
to
remove
the
drive from
the
controller. Follow these steps
to
remove
the
drive.
Caution
Hard
disk drives are vulnerable
to
physical shock. Dropping a
hard disk drive from even a small height will damage its heads
and platters.
Always handle
hard
disk drives
with
extreme caution.
Do
not
set a
hard
disk drive upside down
on
any surface.
