Paper-path group corrective action 1
Use the following procedure to determine
what is defective.
1. Check all jam locations in the MFP. If
the control panel displays any
message except Load paper before
any paper is loaded in the MFP,
proceed to step 2.
2. Check the paper path for small scraps
of paper. Remove any that are found.
3. If paper continually jams at the rear-
jam clearance area, replace the face-
up paper delivery assembly.
4. If jams persist at the ETB, check the
ETB for damage. Replace the ETB if it
is damaged.
5. If jams occur in the tray 1 and tray 2
input areas, replace the feed roll and
separation pad.
6. Perform post-repair tests #1 and #2.
7. If the error message persists and you
have verified that the correct type/size
of paper is being used and there are
no small scraps of paper in the paper
path, replace the whole MFP.
No media pickup.
Press [OK].
The print engine has failed to pick up a
piece of media.

1. Evaluate the paper tray for damage
and serviceability. Replace it if
necessary.
2. Replace the pickup roller and
separation pad.
3. Perform post-repair tests #1 and #2.
4. If the problem persists, replace the
whole MFP.
