What is CD Copier?
CD Copier
Use CD Copier to make backup copies of almost any type of
CD. The following table lists the types of CDs that can be
copied and some notes about making backup copies:
Type of CD Notes
Data Some commercial CDs are designed to prevent copying,
and efforts to do so will fail. Only single session Data CDs
can be copied in Disc-at-Once mode.
Audio The source drive (CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, or CD-RW), must
be capable of reading audio digitally. Not all drives support
digital audio extraction. See Testing Your System
Configuration. Easy CD Creator tests your drive to
determine its capabilities when the source CD is inserted.
If your CD-RW drive supports Disc-at-Once mode, you can
copy Audio CDs in Disc-at-Once mode.
DirectCD
CDs
Some CD-ROM drives may not be able to read a DirectCD
disc. If you have a CD-ROM drive that is MultiRead
capable, there should be no problem.
Mixed-
Mode
Mixed results. Some CDs copy perfectly; others do not,
possibly because the CD is formatted to circumvent
copying or because some CDs are not made properly.
CD Extra Copy CD Extra CDs in Disc-at-Once mode; otherwise,
some audio may be lost if there is less than a two-second
gap between tracks on the source CD.
Photo CD Requires a source CD-ROM drive capable of reading CD-
ROM XA. Most current CD-ROM drives support this.
Video CD Requires a source CD-ROM drive capable of reading CD-
ROM XA. Most current drives support this.
What is CD
Copier?
CD Copier allows you to
make an exact copy of an
existing Audio or Data CD.
The most common use for
CD copier is to create a
working copy of a CD and
to archive the original in a
safe place.
