2. The following is displayed on the front Panel, initializing various subsystems required to perform the
test.
2.5 Hard Disc drive
Description
The hard disc drive service test checks the following:
• Protection status test (protected/not protected)
• Partition configuration test
• System file contents (sanity check for critical files)
Procedure
1.
Go to Diagnostic test>2. Electrical System Menu>2.5 Hard Disc Driver, and press OK.
2. The printer asks you if you want to perform this test, select Yes. Press OK to confirm your selection.
3. The printer reads the current protection status of the hard disc drive and displays it on the Front
Panel.
4. Press any key to continue.
5. The printer checks the hard disc drive partitions for faults. The printer asks you if you want to perform
this test, select Yes.
6. The printer reads the current partition configuration of the hard disc drive and displays it on the Front
Panel.
7. Press any key to continue.
8. The printer performs a sanity check to verify hard disc consistency. The printer asks you if you want
to perform this test, select Yes.
9. The printer reads and displays the current file system contents of the formatted partitions of the hard
disc drive.
10. Press any key to continue.
11. The printer performs a sanity check of the hard disc drive to check the hard disc drive consistency. A
progress bar on the Front Panel indicates the percentage to completion.
12. Press any key to continue to finish the test.
2.6 IO Information
Description
The IO information diagnostic test retrieves and displays information you may need when troubleshooting
a network problem. The following information is displayed:
• IP address
• Gateway address
