4. Ink system Menu
4.1 ISS Electronics
Description
The ISS Electronics service test checks the Upper and Lower ISS PCA are connected correctly and
functioning. If a failure is found, a system error is displayed which can be used to troubleshoot the error
using the information in Chapter 3.
Procedure
1. Go to Diagnostic test>4. Ink System Menu>4.1 ISS Electronics.
2. A message will display on the Front Panel asking whether you would like to check the ISS
Communication. Select Yes and press OK to confirm your selection.
3. If you select Yes, the Printer will check the ISS Communication and the following information will be
displayed on the Front Panel:
• Starting Sausalito.
If there is a failure at this point, the Front Panel will display system error code 01.0:10 ⇒ page 78.
• Checking ISS PCA rev.
At this stage, the Front Panel displays the value for the ISS PCA revision and asking whether you
would like to Continue. Press any key to finish.
4.2 Air Pressure System
Description
The purpose of this test is to verify the operation of the Air Pressurization System (APS).
Procedure
1. Go to Diagnostic test>4. Ink System Menu>4.2 Air Pressure System.
2. A message will display on the Front Panel asking whether you want to perform the Air Pressure
System diagnostic test, select Yes and press OK.
NOTE: Perform this test before replacing the APS (if possible), if this test passes, do not
replace the APS.
