3. Remove the following screws that secure the top cover to the base enclosure:

Three Phillips screws from the Upgrade bay (1).

Three Torx 8 screws in the hard drive bay and four Torx 8 screws in the battery bay (2).
●
Five Torx 8 screws from the front edge and middle of the computer (3).
