Before removing the front cover, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and
then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet or the
Security Jacket.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the Security Jacket.
4. Remove the card reader cover and top cap (see Card reader cover and Top cap on page 77).
5. If installed, remove the tablet from the Security Jacket (see Card reader cover and Top cap on page 77).
NOTE: When replacing the front cover, be sure the system board is removed from the defective top cover
and installed on the replacement front cover (see System board on page 72).
Remove the front cover:
1. Turn the Security Jacket upside down with the top toward you.
2. Remove the two Phillips PM1.5×3.4 screws that secure the front cover to the Security Jacket.
3. Turn the Security Jacket right side up with the bottom toward you.
4. Remove the two Phillips PM1.3×3.4 screws (1) that secure the front cover to the Security Jacket.
