System board (includes docking connector, HDMI port, and USB port) 744044-001
Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and
then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet or the
Security Jacket.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the Security Jacket.
4. Remove the card reader cover and top cap (see Card reader cover and Top cap on page 77).
5. If installed, remove the tablet from the Security Jacket (see Card reader cover and Top cap on page 77).
6. Remove the front cover (see Front cover on page 80).
Remove the system board:
1. Place the front cover face down on the work surface with the bottom toward you.
2. Remove the six Phillips PM1.9×3.4 screws (1) that secure the system board to the front cover.
3. Release the docking connector (2) from the opening in the front cover.
4. Remove the system board (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the system board.
