Removal and replacement procedures
17. Release the tabs 1 built into the display panel shielding.
18. Remove the display panel cable 2. The display panel cable is available using spare part number 531782-001.
19. If it is necessary to replace the display hinges, remove the hinge covers 1 from the hinges. The hinge covers
are available using spare part number 575980-001 for dv3-2000 computer models.
20. Remove the six Phillips PM2.5×4.0 screws 2 and the four Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws 3 that secure the hinges
to the display panel.
21. Remove the display hinges 4. The display hinges are available using spare part number 531780-001 for
dv3-2000 computer models.
