Before removing the fan, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 30).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover and Rubber Foot Kit on page 31).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 34).
4. Remove the heat sink (see Heat sink on page 49).
Remove the fan:
1. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board (1).
2. Remove the power button cable from the fan (2).
3. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (3) that secure the fan to the computer.
4. Remove the fan from the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the fan.
