Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 30).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover and Rubber Foot Kit on page 31).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 34).
Remove the heat sink from models with discrete graphics:
1. Remove the six Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (1) that secure the heat sink to the system board.
2. Remove the heat sink (2).
