Power Supply
To remove the power supply:
1. Complete the preparation procedures. See “Powering Down the Server” earlier in this
chapter.
2. Remove the access panel. See “Server Access Panel” earlier in this chapter.
3. Remove the PCI riser board assembly. See “PCI Riser Board Assembly” earlier in this
chapter.
4. Remove the air baffle. See “Air Baffle” earlier in this chapter.
5. Remove the AC power cord and filter. See “AC Power Cord and Filter” earlier in this
chapter.
6. Unfasten the AC power cord from its routing clips.
7. Lift the power supply retaining lever

8. Slide the power supply toward the outside edge of the server until it disengages from the
system board connector
.
9. Tilt the outside edge of the power supply upward and lift to remove it from the chassis
.

Reverse steps 1 through 9 to replace the power supply, ensuring to align the connector with
the pins when inserting the power supply.
