Install the drive.
8. Close and lock the tower bezel.
9. Connect each power cord to the server.
10. Connect each power cord to the power source.
11. Power up the server (on page 18).
Installing a hot-plug drive
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
To install the component:
1. Unlock and open the tower bezel ("Unlock the tower bezel" on page 19).
2. Remove the drive blank.
