To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 25).
2. Do one of the following:
o Open or remove the tower bezel, as needed ("Bezel" on page 27).
o Remove the server from the rack (on page 26).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 29).
4. Disconnect the cables from the half-height media device.
5. Remove the half-height media device.
To replace the component:
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
1. Install the guide screws on the half-height media device.
