How do I try out beta features on VIVE Focus 3?
Before you can install beta software to try out new features, you need to register your headset
with the VIVE Focus 3 beta program. To register, contact us at vive_beta@htc.com and provide
us with the following information:
§ Your full name
§ Contact email address
§ Device serial number (see Where can I find the headset serial number? on page 56)
After your headset has been registered, enable Beta program on your headset.
Before proceeding, make sure to back up your files such as screenshots and screen
recordings to your microSD card or computer. Installing beta software will erase all internal
storage data, including personal files, system settings, and installed apps .
1. Go to Settings Advanced, and then select Beta features.
2. Select Join.
3. When prompted, select Continue to confirm.
Beta software will be downloaded and installed automatically when it becomes available.
You can opt out of the beta program anytime. Go to
Settings Advanced Beta features
and turn off Beta program.
Where can I find the headset serial number?
You can find the headset serial number in two places:

Sticker 1. Remove the face cushion to reveal the microSD card slot.
2. Find the serial number sticker near the card slot.
Device settings 1. From the Lobby, select Settings.
2. Select General About Headset status.
How can I prevent blurriness or dizziness?
If you're experiencing motion sickness or blurriness in VR, make sure the headset is adjusted
properly. Here are some tips for a good fit:
§ The headset lenses should be centered over your eyes. To find out how, see Adjusting the
IPD on the headset on page 18.
§ The headset should comfortably fit over your nose and gently hold on to the back of your
head. See Putting on the headset on page 10.
§ Make sure the floor level has been set correctly. You can reset the floor level in Settings
Boundary Reset floor level.
