4.4.12 Replacing an Ambient Temperature and Humidity Sensor
Prerequisites

You have obtained an ESD wrist strap, a pair of ESD gloves, an ESD box or bag, the
cabinet door key, and a maintenance tool kit.

The new ambient temperature and humidity sensor is intact.
Procedure
Step 1 Connect the ground cable to the ESD wrist strap, and put on the ESD wrist strap and ESD
gloves.
Step 2 Remove the ambient temperature and humidity sensor cable from the UIM, as shown in
Figure 4-25.

Step 3 Remove the temperature and humidity sensor, as shown in Figure 4-26.
1. Hold down the button on the sensor and remove the sensor cover.
2. Unscrew the sensor base.
3. Record the positions where cables connect to the base and remove the cables.
