3.5.2 Can I install third-party applications to a microSD card? If
so, will running these third-party applications take up my
phone's RAM?
Yes, you can install third-party applications to a microSD card. Temporary data will be saved
to your phone's RAM when these applications run.
3.6 Backup and recovery
3.6.1 How do I use the Backup application to back up data?
Your phone is preinstalled with the Backup application. To use Backup, touch Backup >
Back up to SD card.
3.6.2 How do I back up contacts to a microSD card?
Touch Settings > All > Storage > Default storage location and select the microSD card.
Touch People. Touch the Menu key then Manage contacts > Export to storage. In the
displayed dialog box, touch OK. All contacts in your phone are then saved to the microSD
card's root directory as a .vcf file.
3.6.3 How do I restore contacts from a microSD card?
Touch File Manager. In the microSD card's root directory, touch the backup file in .vcf
format. Touch OK. Your phone then automatically refreshes the contact list.
