Do not install spa blowers in the same room as a gas heater. This is potentially dangerous to
spa users.
Do not store chemicals or fuel in the same room as the gas heater. This may cause fire or
explosion.
When installing in a garage the Hurlcon MX Series Heater must be installed 450 mm above
floor level.
CLEARANCES
The heater must be installed at least 500 mm from any combustible surface. Clearances must
comply with AS5601/AG601.
Clearances from non combustible
surfaces are:
Internal External
Front 500mm 500mm
Both sides 150mm 250mm
Rear 150mm 250mm
Above N/A 1500mm
Clearances from combustible
surfaces are:
Internal External
Front 500mm 500mm
Both sides 500mm 500mm
Rear 500mm 500mm
Above N/A 1500mm
Heater must be installed on a fireproof base.
