WARNING
Always disconnect the air supply and power supply

DRAINING THE TANK
See Figure 6-1, 6-2.
Tohelppreventtankcorrosionandkeepmoistureoutoftheair
used,thetankofthecompressorshouldbedraineddaily.
To drain:
gTurntheaircompressoroff.
gPull the ring on the pressure relief valve to release until
pressuregaugereadslessthan20psi.
gReleasethering.
gOpenthedrainvalveallowingairtobleedfromthe
tank.(6-1)
gNOTE: Condensateisapolluting materialandshould be
disposedofincompliancewithlocalregulations.
gIf drainvalveis clogged, releaseallairpressure,remove
andcleanvalve,thenreinstall.
WARNING
Unplugthe aircompressorandrelease all airfromthe
tankbeforeservicing.Failuretodepressurizetankbefore
attemptingtoremovevalvemaycauseseriouspersonal
injury.
