6.7 Stop switch – resistance
measurement
Clean the mating surfaces and check the resis-
tance as follows:
Measure the resistance by connecting a multime-
ter to the ignition coil. NOTE! The switch must be
in the “on” (A) position to give the correct reading
(see gure 14).
The resistance must not be higher than 0.5 Ohm
when the switch is in the on position.
The stop switch is in the on position when the
button is held down (A) (see gure 14) and in the
off-position the button is neutral (B) (see gure 15).

Fit a new control and tighten the screw.

Fit air lter and cylinder cover.
