Why is my Husqvarna Lawn and Garden Equipment hard to start?
    • M
      Mark ParkAug 25, 2025
If your Husqvarna Lawn and Garden Equipment is hard to start, here are some things to check: Start by cleaning or replacing the air filter if it's dirty. A bad spark plug can also cause this issue, so replace it if necessary. If equipped with a battery, check if it's weak or dead and recharge or replace it. Replace the fuel filter if it's dirty. Stale or dirty fuel can also be a culprit; empty the fuel tank and refill it with fresh, clean gas. Inspect all wiring for any loose connections or damage. If the carburetor is out of adjustment, see the “To Adjust Carburetor” section. For engine valves out of adjustment, it is recommended to contact an authorized service center.

If the engine of your Husqvarna Lawn and Garden Equipment won't turn over, make sure the brake pedal is depressed. Check that the attachment clutch is disengaged. A weak or dead battery can also cause this, so recharge or replace it. Look for a blown fuse and replace it if necessary. Clean any corrosion from the battery terminals. Inspect all wiring for looseness or damage. Check or replace the ignition switch if it's faulty, and do the same for the solenoid or starter. For faulty operator presence switch(es), it is recommended to contact an authorized service center.

If your Husqvarna Lawn and Garden Equipment is producing an uneven cut, several factors could be responsible.
