Steering Controls
The machine’s direction is variable using the two
steering controls. The steering controls can be
moved forward and back from a neutral position.
See Steering in the Operation section.
Throttle Control
The throttle control regulates the engine speed
and the rate of rotation of the blades, assuming
the blade switch is pulled out.
To increase or decrease the engine speed, the
control is moved forward or back respectively.
Avoid idling the engine for long periods, as there
is a risk of fouling the spark plugs. USE FULL
THROTTLE WHEN MOWING, for best mower
performance and battery charging.
Choke Control
The choke control is used for cold starts to
provide the engine with a richer fuel mixture. For
cold starts, pull the control up.
Ignition Switch
The ignition switch is used to start and stop the
engine.
Blade Switch
To engage the mower deck, pull the knob out;
mower blades are disengaged when the knob is
pressed down.
Operator Presence Control
The left steering control is also the Operator
Presence Control (OPC). The lever must be down
and parallel with the right lever for operation.
