Key Features and Usage:

Radio Operation:

• Turning the Radio On: Rotate the Power/Volume knob. Adjust the knob to set the desired volume. If the radio is tuned to an un-programmed channel, it will emit a continuous error tone, indicating the need to select an appropriate channel from the zone/channel list.

• Charging the Radio:

  • Press the contact list button to display the contact list.
  • Use the scroll button to highlight the desired contact.
  • Press the PTT Button to transmit on the selected contact's talkgroup.
  • The radio will remain on the selected group until a set period of inactivity or until canceled via the home button.

Text Messaging:

• Viewing Text Messages:

  • Upon receiving a text message, the radio will beep, vibrate, and display a mail icon.
  • Press the Select button to view the message.
  • If multiple messages are received, pressing Select will display a list.
  • Use the scroll button to highlight messages.
  • Press Select again to view the highlighted message.

• Sending Text Messages:

  • Scroll down to "quick text" and press Select.
  • This displays pre-programmed text messages.
