Optional: Install disk drives or SSDs in the 5147-024, ESLL, or ESLS
storage enclosure
To install disk drives or SSDs, complete the steps in this procedure.
Notes:
v You can install disk drives in the ESLL storage enclosure.
v You can install disk drives or solid-state drives (SSDs) in the ESLS storage enclosure.
v You can install SSDs in the 5147-024 storage enclosure.
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap attached. If not, attach it now.
2. Remove the drive from the static-protective package.
Attention: Drives are fragile. Handle with care.
3. With the handle in the unlocked position, support the bottom of the drive as you align it with the
guide rails in the disk drive enclosure. See Figure 10 on page 10 or Figure 11 on page 10
