2. Identify an open mounting space that is the size of a single EIA in the rack where you are installing
the PDU model. Attach the nut clips to the top and bottom holes of the EIA, on each side of the rack.
Use the nut clips that were provided with the rack mounting kit.
3. If you are installing a PDU, continue with the next step. Otherwise, for a PDU+, go to step “6” on page
58. For the Intelligent Switched PDU or Intelligent Switched PDU+, go to step “7” on page 58.
4. Align the PDU with the opening of the rack. Then, while you hold the PDU in place, attach the PDU
mounting brackets to the nut clips in the rack with four M6 screws. Use screws that were provided
with the rack mounting kit.
5. Go to step 15 for power cord attachment.
6. Align the vertical-mounting brackets (A) to the front of the PDU+ as shown in the following gure.
Make sure that you attach the brackets so that the power outlets face the rear of the rack.

7. Attach the brackets (A) to the PDU+, Intelligent Switched PDU, or Intelligent Switched PDU+ with two
M3x5 screws (B) per bracket. Use screws that were provided with the rack mounting kit.
8. If you are installing the PDU or PDU+ long mounting brackets, align the long mounting brackets (A)
with the holes in the rear of the PDU, and attach the brackets to the PDU model with either two or
three M3 pan-head screws (B) with captive lock washers per bracket. The number of screws you
need is dependent on your PDU model. The following gure shows a model that requires two screws
per side.
Use the screws that were provided with the rack mounting kit.
