4.0 Solving Computer Problems
Problems with your computer can be caused by software, hardware, or both.
You can test the hardware yourself using computer internal self-tests and
the testing programs on the backup copy of the Reference Diskette. If a
hardware problem occurs during this testing, an error message appears with
the cause of the problem and the action to take.
By using the Reference Diskette, the Troubleshooting Charts, and the other
information in this section, you should be able to solve the problem
yourself or obtain a considerable amount of information about the problem.
Always use the backup copy of the Reference Diskette. The backup copy
should contain your computer's current configuration information and
testing programs.
