IBM Diagnostic Programs
Your computer comes with two diagnostic programs:
• PC-Doctor for Windows: This Windows-based diagnostic program is
preinstalled on your computer, PC-Doctor for Windows can diagnose some
hardware problems, but it is most effective at diagnosing software problems.
For instructions on using PC-Doctor for Windows, see “Starting PC-Doctor for
Windows” on page 8-20.
• Product Recovery Program: Your computer comes with a product recovery
program, see Quick Reference for overview of the recovery program if you
want or need to know how that will work.
Starting PC-Doctor for Windows
To start PC-Doctor for Windows, do the following:
1. Click Start.
2. Select Programs.
3. Select PC-Doctor for Windows.
4. Click PC-Doctor for Windows.
For additional information about running PC-Doctor for Windows, refer to the PC-
Doctor for Windows help system.
Product Recovery Program
Your IBM computer has a Product Recovery Program, which is a recovery image on
the hard disk drive accessed by pressing F11 during startup. For more information
about the Product Recovery Program, see the Quick Reference that comes with
your computer.
