a) Push the drive tab (A) to release the drive lever (B).
b) Using the drive lever, pull the drive and ller about 2.5 cm (1 in) from the system.
c) Repeat steps “3.a” on page 54 and “3.b” on page 54 for the other drives and llers.
4. Label the NVMe cables and how they connect between the NVMe drive backplane and the NVMe U.2
pass-thru cards. Record how the plugs and jacks are connected. Disconnect the NVMe cables from the
NVMe drive backplane by pressing the cable latch and unplugging the cable as shown in the following
gure.
