Up to 7500 km at 2G is supported when using long distance transport system such
as DWDM.
Memory specifications
The switch has three types of memory devices, boot flash, compact flash, and main
memory. The size of each is listed in Table 14.

Fibre Channel port specifications
The Fibre Channel ports in the SAN24B-5 are compatible with SWL, LWL, and
ELWL SFP+ (for 16 Gbps performance) transceivers. The strength of the signal is
determined by the type of transceiver in use.
The ports meet all required safety standards. For more information about these
standards, see “Electronic emission notices” on page 48.
The ports are capable of operating at 2, 4, 8, or 16 Gbps depending on SFP+
transceiver models and are able to autonegotiate to the maximum link speed.
