LCD backlight
➥ Automatically turns ON for 5 sec. when you push any key, ex-
cept [PTT].

Auto power save
➥ The power save function reduces the current drain to conserve
battery power.
- The function automatically turns ON when no operation is per-
formed or no signal is received for 5 sec.

Resetting the transceiver
Initialize the operating conditions before
using the transceiver for the first time, or if
the function display shows erroneous in-
formation.
➥ While pushing [
DOWN]/[Z] and
[MODE], push [POWER] ON to initial-
ize the transceiver.
CAUTION: Resetting the transceiver returns all settings to their
defaults.
