Pocket
beep
The
pocket
beep
function
alerts
you
for
approx.
30
sec.
with
beep
tones
and
a
flashing
“(+)"’
on
the
display
when
you
receive
a
call
including
the
same
subaudible
tone
as
that
pre-
programmed.
The
pocket
beep
cannot
be
used
in
combination
with
the
pager
or
code
squelch.

Program
the
subaudible
tone
frequency
in
SET
mode.

Tone
squelch
The
tone
squelch
opens
only
when
receiving
a
signal
with
the
same
subaudible
tone
as
that
pre-programmed.
You
can
si-
lently
wait
for
a
call
from
group
members
using
the
same
tone.

Program
the
subaudible
tone
frequency
in
SET
mode.

Push
[@T/P.B/T
SQL]
several
times
until
‘‘T
SQL”
ap-
pears
on
the
function
display.
3)
When
the
received
signal
includes
the
correct
tone,
the
squelch
opens
and
the
signal
can
be
heard.

When

received
signal
includes
an
incorrect
tone,
the
squelch
does
not
open.
Only
the
green
indicator
lights
up.

To
open
the
squelch
manually,
push
and
hold
[MONI].

Operate
the
transceiver
in
the
normal
way
(push
[PTT]
to
transmit;
release
[PTT]
to
receive).

To
cancel
the
tone
squelch,
push

sever-

times
until

disappears
from
the

tion
display.
