Sizing procedure for expansion vessels:
The volume of the expansion vessel (litres)
fitted to a sealed system shall not be less than
that given by the table opposite, multiplied by a
factor of 0.8 (for flow temperature of less than
88°C).
If the system volume exceeds the figure given
in the opposite table for an 8-litre expansion
vessel then an additional vessel may be fitted,
provided that it is as close to the appliance on
the return to the boiler as is practically
possible.
Refer to BS 5449 and BS 7074:1 for detail of
expansion vessel application, selection and
installation.
Optional extra, if ordered (Extension Duct Kit D) is available in a
separate box.
Unpack and check the contents.
