Tempering flammable liquids:
For tempering flammable liquids, an external On/Off
temperature
con-
troller (not included with the magnetic stirrer) is required and must be
installed. The controller switches off the magnetic stirrer before the
media reaches the ignition point.
Safety feature:
The unit has an additional internal temperature sensor which will shut
the heating function off, in the event of a temperature control mal-
function.
Switch off the heat control knob, allow the unit to cool down, and then
switch the heat control knob on again.
Cleaning
Unplug the magnetic stirrer.
Clean carefully with a damp cloth and warm water.
Do not clean with acetone or other organic liquids, except
alcohol.
In extreme cases mild alcohol may be used.
Rinse and dry thoroughly.
To avoid electrical shock, do not open the housing. Refer
servicing to qualified personnel only.
Never place the equipment in water or other liquids.
