  If the Ingersoll-Rand Air Compressor experiences low system air pressure, first press the “LOAD” button and then the “UNLOADED STOP” button. If this doesn't resolve the issue, access the options screen to set the offline pressure to a higher value. Also, check the air piping system for leaks and ensure manual condensate valves are closed and solenoid-operated condensate valves are not stuck open.

  If your Ingersoll-Rand Air Compressor fails to start, check the fuse, transformers, and wiring connections to ensure 110/120V control voltage is available. Also, ensure the emergency stop is disengaged by rotating the emergency stop button and pressing the reset button twice. Inspect starter auxiliary contacts, connections, wiring, and contactors, replacing if defective. Manually reset the main (or fan) motor overload relay and press the reset button twice.

  If the Ingersoll-Rand Air Compressor fails to load, it could be due to leaking seals in the hydraulic cylinder. If the cylinder does not fully stroke when the “LOAD” button is pressed, overhaul the hydraulic cylinder. Alternatively, a defective load solenoid valve could be the cause. To check, remove the tube that runs from the load solenoid valve to the hydraulic cylinder, start the compressor, and press the “LOAD” button. If oil does not come out of the solenoid valve, replace it.

  If there's water in the Ingersoll-Rand Air Compressor system, inspect and clean the moisture separator/drain trap, replacing it if defective. Also inspect and clean the trap drain or drain piping if plugged and inspect and clean the aftercooler core if dirty. Ensure enclosure panels are in place and the drain line slopes away from the trap, with a drip leg installed.
