  If your Insignia Camera Accessories slave flash is firing late or not at all, ensure the READY indicator is on before taking a picture. The light sensor on your slave flash needs a clear line-of-sight to the camera’s flash, and the camera’s flash can't be too weak. Move the slave flash to provide a clear line-of sight. As another option, use the PC sync cable to allow the camera to control your slave flash.

  If using your Insignia Camera Accessories flash doesn't seem to change the lighting in a picture, your camera may have a pre-flash feature that adjusts camera settings. Set the camera to manual flash mode (not pre-flash). Another option is to use the PC sync cable to connect your slave flash to your camera. Also, your slave flash may fire when it detects any bright light.
